  Before setting up an appointment I would be very clear on the type of service you are getting and what all it includes. I communicated with the owner about getting a wash, silk wrap and trim via text and she gave me one price. When I got to her salon and asked for a deep condition it added over $40 to the total. She also skipped steps in the routine like actually wrapping my hair at the end instead saying "it already feels like silk" as to insinuate that everything was done correctly. I will not discredit her work because my hair did come out nice, but when asked why the price was so much she became offended and made statements like "my hair was tangled" which, to me, is not a reason to upcharge someone. If you are natutal and know the complexity that comes with your hair, communicate that to the stylists.
