  The rec center is a very cool spot with a ton of amenities. I might be being a little bit harsh, but I use it primarily for the ice rink, which is not in great shape. The ice is soft, sometimes dangerously so, and during the summer the glass around the rink fogs up because the HVAC system isn't up to the task. Since 3.5 stars isn't an option, I have to go with 3...

  We love being part of our community here at the Mount Vernon Rec Center - we've learned to ice skate over the last several weeks, and the library is right next door for a nice Saturday afternoon!
